Site N-10.1

The Geological Report summarises all the main results of the geological site investigation and the related offshore as well as onshore work and describes the geological model. The report is available in German and English language.

The Geological Report from the preliminary site investigation of the BSH corresponds to the document No. 310 according to the BSH Standard Design. The report’s contents are defined in the BSH Standard Ground Investigations. The Geological Report describes the geological model, which has been developed based on the results of the hydrographic, geophysical as well as geotechnical surveys.

The geotechnical data report summarises all information gathered on- and offshore. It's written in English and German language by the geotechnical consultant.

The final report of the hydrographic survey campaign includes the investigations carried out by means of multibeam echosounder, side scan sonar, subbottom profiler and magnetometer as well as the sediment sampling. The final report forms the basis for the description of the soil within the framework of the strategic environmental assessment. In addition, the report on the investigation of morphological changes and the mobilisation report are included, which describes the mobilisation of the survey vessel, the control measurements carried out and the calibration of the survey systems.

The final report of the geophysical survey is available in English language. It contains all essential information about the geophysical survey, such as data acquisition, data preparation and data processing.

The geotechnical investigation reports are prepared by the company that performed the geotechnical site survey. The "Laboratory Data Report" contains all test protocols as well as an overview and description of the executed laboratory test program, the Investigation Report summarizes the information collected offshore. Both reports are available in English language.

The data set contains an ArcGIS project in the MPKX format (ArcGIS Pro version 3.1.0) based on a thematically structured geodatabase. Information about the surveys and derived products are included. In addition, the geoinformation of the Site Development Plan 2023 is included, which is for reporting purposes; the definition of the site remains decisive for the definition of the site in the Site Development Plan.

The data set contains GeoTIFF files of the hydrographic survey and the geological model. This includes the processed data of the multibeam echosounder analysis (bathymetry), the magnetometer and the side scan sonar investigation. Furthermore, sediment thickness charts and geological interfaces of the geological model are provided.

The data set contains the simplified geological model in the form of a Leapfrog project (Leapfrog version 2022.1), which contains the main soil units and was generated on the basis of the Kingdom project exports. For this purpose, the resolution of the main horizons was reduced to 10 m x 10 m and finally a 3D volume body with the respective resolution was generated for each main soil unit using adaptive triangulation techniques.

The Leapfrog project was created by the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW) and is to be used in conjunction with the underlying Kingdom project.

The data set contains the simplified geological model in the form of a Leapfrog Viewer scene file exported from the Leapfrog project. The main soil units contained in it can be displayed in 3D space using the free Leapfrog Viewer. Furthermore, 2D profile sections can be generated and distance measurements can be done.

The data set contains the results of a test case for the machine learning-based estimation of selected geotechnical parameter trends. The technical report in PDF format contains important information on the procedure and the uncertainties of the estimates. The machine learning-based results are available line by line along the multi-channel seismic data (time domain, in SEG-Y format).

This version of the database N-10-01_database_gdf.accdb was published for the tender procedure of the BNetzA on 26.02.2025. However, this database actually refers to N-10.2 and is therefore no longer available for download for site N-10.1. It was replaced on 27 March 2025 by the correct database for site N-10.1 with the file name N-10-01_database_gdf_rev1.accdb (in N-10-01_database_gdf_rev1.zip).

The measured sound velocity profiles of the hydrographic survey are available as ASCII file (in SVP format). These contain water sound velocities through water column.

The data set contains the measured sound velocity profiles including metadata of the geophysical survey (in XLS and PDF format).

The data set contains the processed data in CARIS Spatial Archive Format (CSAR) with a resolution of 0,5 m x 0,5 m and 1,0 m x 1,0 m. The processed bathymetry is included as a PDF drawing.

The evaluation includes a display of the profiles in CSV and PDF format as well as a target list of manually detected anomaly locations in XLSX format.
