Research and development project SEBAMO (I)
The SEBAMO (I) research and development project was carried out in cooperation with the University of Bremen in the period from 1st of January 2018 to 31st of December 2022. The aim of the project was to create a scientifically sound, geophysical data and knowledge base that serves the BSH as a decision-making basis for the awarding of contracts required in the context of the preliminary investigation of the subsoil in accordance with sec. 10 para. 1 no. 2 WindSeeG.
In the course of the project, newly acquired multi-channel seismic data made it possible to efficiently and purposefully adapt the required range of services to the locally prevailing geological conditions in advance of awarding the contracts. In addition, the data basis served the BSH as a reference data set in order to be able to expertly accompany the order execution and thus account for the necessary quality assurance.
Furthermore, transregional, multi-channel seismic profiles were acquired in the project, creating a seamless connection between the FEP areas and sites distributed across FEP zones 1, 2 and 3 and thus putting their specific subsoil characteristics into an overall geological context. Therefore, in the course of the project, scientific questions on transregional geological processes could be considered, which influence the regional subsoil characteristics.
